State
Type in Motion

The State is a typeface built on duality. It explores the tension between opposing extremes — mechanical and organic, rigid and fluid, sharp and soft. By shifting the sharpness of its lines, the letterforms transform between two distinct states: one structured and engineered, the other expressive and alive.

The concept stems from the idea that everything exists in contrast — two sides of a story, states of mind, states of chaos and calm. Just as emotions fluctuate between extremes, The State embodies transition. It is not fixed; it moves between conditions, revealing how form can hold both control and vulnerability within the same system.
